The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has opened an investigation after 89 drones fell from the sky during this week’s ‘Star-Bound’ show over Darling Harbour.
UK operator SkyMagic attributed the incident to an unforeseen change in the radio frequency environment, which compromised positional accuracy and triggered emergency landings. Officials stressed that all drones landed within the designated exclusion zone, averting injuries to spectators or staff.
