Aerial footage shows the large fire at Valero refinery in Port Arthur, Texas after an explosion.
The explosions occurred around 6:30 PM local time, with residents across the area hearing the loud boom and windows and homes being rattled.
The Valero Port Arthur refinery is one of the largest in the United States, capable of processing over 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for nearby residents due to concerns over air quality from the smoke.
All the refinery’s workers have been accounted for, and no injuries have been reported so far.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
