Rabbi Portowicz devoted more than 50 years of his life to chinuch and served as menahel of Yeshivas Ziv Hatorah in Brooklyn. Over the decades, he guided and inspired countless talmidim.
He was also the head counselor of Camp Rayim, director Camp Kochavim and teen learning mashpia of Camp Romimu.
He moved to Lakewood a couple of years ago and resided in the Albert area.

The levaya will be held at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at the Chapel in Lakewood, 613 Ramey Avenue. Shiva information will be announced once it is finalized.
