Luigi Mangione scoring a partial victory in court as a judge rules that evidence recovered from the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer’s backpack at a McDonald’s must be suppressed.
According to the ruling, that evidence includes a loaded gun magazine, a cellphone, a passport, a wallet, and a computer chip investigators allegedly recovered during the search at that time.
However, this ruling does not suppress the gun that police say was used to kill Brian Thompson, which was recovered from Mangione’s backpack at a different time, from being entered as evidence.
