Degel HaTorah Leaders Plan Large-Scale Protest Against IDF Draft Enforcement
Senior figures in the Degel HaTorah reportedly convened last night to plan an unprecedented protest campaign against military conscription, involving tens of thousands of mainstream Charedi participants, according to a report by Kan News.
As part of the planned action, mass convoys of vehicles are expected to travel across the country toward military detention facilities, accompanied by flags and sound systems.
The goal, organizers say, is to slow traffic on major highways and demonstrate against the arrest of draft evaders from the Charedi community.
Senior representatives from various Charedi factions and parties are reportedly involved, and leading Lithuanian rabbinic authorities have approved the initiative.
The protest is being prepared for the coming days, with Wednesday being considered a possible preferred date.
