Driver Questioned and Released Following Bnei Brak Protest Car-Ramming 🤬
Police questioned and subsequently released a 22-year-old female driver from Qalansawe suspected of striking an elderly man with her vehicle during massive Charedi Peleg Yerushalmi anti-draft demonstrations at the Geha Junction near Bnei Brak.
The driver immediately turned herself in to law enforcement following the incident and was released under restrictive conditions before being taken for medical treatment.
According to investigators, the woman stated during her interrogation that she accelerated her vehicle out of sheer panic when a crowd of Charedi demonstrators surrounded her car, began throwing stones, and hurled curses at her.
She faces potential charges of assault causing injury, public disturbance, and multiple traffic violations.
Mr. W – In Israel, Charedi lives don’t seem to matter. If this had happened at a left-wing protest in Kaplan Square in Tel Aviv, the police would never have let the driver go. They would have charged her with attempted murder.
Since the victim was a 93-year-old Charedi man, it seems like it’s okay.
