EL AL announced that due to the significant reduction in operations, total seat availability on outgoing flights is expected to drop to approximately 5% of its normal capacity.

Following the Ministry of Transport’s decision to drastically scale down air traffic — limiting EL AL to just 15 departures per day and capping each outbound flight at 50 passengers — the airline confirmed it will operate a limited number of flights to key destinations: New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, Paris, Rome, and Athens.

The flight schedule will be updated in the coming hours, and passengers will receive direct notifications. Incoming flights to Israel from these destinations will operate without passenger limits.

Due to the extremely limited availability, passenger placement will be prioritized based on original ticket booking dates, with special consideration given to urgent humanitarian and medical cases.

EL AL emphasized that these strict limitations effectively shift the airline to essential operations only, aimed at maintaining a critical air bridge between Israel and the rest of the world. All decisions were made in accordance with safety and operational considerations.

Passengers whose flights have been canceled will be notified and are entitled to either a full refund or a voucher for future use.
