Foiled Terror Plot Targeted UFC Event at White House, DOJ Unseals Evidence
According to the Department of Justice and FBI Director Kash Patel, investigators became aware of the threat on June 10 through encrypted Signal chats involving up to two dozen individuals.
The plot reportedly involved explosive-laden drones targeting nearby buildings to create panic and funnel crowds toward pre-positioned sniper teams. Court documents and unsealed images also reference tactical gear, firearms (including a custom American flag-themed rifle), annotated maps, and plans for further assaults.
A key break came when the mother of 19-year-old Tycen Proper from Knox County, Ohio, contacted authorities. Proper was arrested by the FBI’s Cincinnati division, with additional suspects taken into custody in states including California and Missouri. Officials believe more individuals may still be at large as the multi-state investigation continues.
