Hezbollah Deploys Night-Vision Explosive Drones in Southern Lebanon Operations

The Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar news network reported that the group has introduced a new technological capability into its aerial operations, utilizing explosive suicide drones equipped with advanced night-vision optics.

The report follows a recent operational claim by Hezbollah on Saturday, in which the group took responsibility for launching an explosive drone targeting a concentration of IDF soldiers in the Al-Bayyadah area of southern Lebanon. The strike ended a multi-day lull in drone activity within that specific sector.

Military analysts noted that the key detail in Hezbollah’s claim was the timing of the attack, which reportedly occurred at 21:40 under total darkness. Al-Manar subsequently confirmed that the platform used in the operation was part of a newly deployed fleet of loitering munitions upgraded for nocturnal tracking and targeting.
