IDF Statement: IDF soldiers apprehended two terrorists who planned to execute a terror attack against Israeli civilians
Overnight (Monday), IDF soldiers conducted counter-terrorism activity in the area of Jenin, and with the guidance of the ISA, apprehended the terrorist Imam Khazzam, who operated to advance a terror attack on Israel’s home front.
Imam is the son of Fathi Hazzam, who was eliminated last week (Thursday) when he attempted to stab an IDF soldier during operational activity in the Jenin area.
Following his father’s elimination, Imam expressed his intentions to carry out a terror attack against Israeli civilians and security forces.
Imam Khazzam is the brother of Raed Hazzam, who carried out the shooting terror attack in Dizengoff in 2022. In this attack, three Israeli civilians were murdered, and six others were injured.
Yesterday, in an additional activity in the area of Sanur, IDF soldiers, guided by the ISA, apprehended an additional terrorist who was operating to advance terror attacks against Israeli civilians.
