Iranian Media Acknowledges Deployment of Advanced Kheibar Shekan Missiles in Latest Attack
Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that Tehran deployed its latest generation of advanced Kheibar Shekan ballistic missiles during its overnight strikes targeting northern Israel.
Iranian state media highlighted the weapon’s terminal dive speed of approximately Mach 9, claiming it was specifically designed to challenge sophisticated air defense systems like Arrow and the American-supplied THAAD.
The report noted that the offensive utilized a coordinated combination of Emad, Qadr-F, and Kheibar Shekan missiles.
Despite the regime’s emphasis on its cutting-edge arsenal, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed that all incoming projectiles were successfully intercepted.
The operational outcome demonstrates that even Iran’s premier, next-generation missile technology is being neutralized by Israel’s multi-layered air defense umbrella, stripping Tehran of the narrative that its most advanced capabilities remain a withheld threat.
