Iran Rejects US Negotiation Proposal, Citing Past Deceptions

According to Axios, citing informed sources, Iran has informed mediators that it has been deceived twice by President Trump and will not accept being deceived a third time.

Iran has communicated that the deployment of US military reinforcements to tje Middle East increases its suspicions that Trump’s proposal for dialogue is just a deception.

The White House has informed Tehran of Trump’s seriousness in negotiations and suggested the participation of the Vice President in the talks as a sign of seriousness.

US envoy Steve Witkoff had recommended the participation of the Vice President, because he enjoys an official status and Iran does not consider him a hardliner.

According to a White House official, a ground operation in Iran is an option, but President Trump has not made a final decision yet.
