Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani was killed in what it described as a “terrorist attack” by the United States and Israel.
The IRGC praised his long service and strategic role, framed the killing as part of the broader conflict, and vowed that Basij forces will continue the “resistance” and avenge his death.
