Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Rebuilt Hezbollah’s Military Command After 2024 War – Reuters
After Hezbollah was heavily damaged in its 2024 conflict with Israel, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) helped rebuild the group’s military command.
Reuters reports that the IRGC sent officers to retrain fighters, oversee rearmament, and restructure Hezbollah, including replacing its hierarchical command with decentralized small units to preserve operational secrecy.
The Iranian officers also drew up plans for coordinated missile attacks from Iran and Lebanon, first executed in March 2026. A Lebanese security source said the IRGC’s role was advisory and strategic, helping Hezbollah rehabilitate and pace operations rather than managing day-to-day targeting.
