Israel Set to Expand Operations in Southern Lebanon
Following an increase in Hezbollah drone attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s Defense Minister are reportedly preparing to expand IDF operations in southern Lebanon. This decision, aimed at deterring further aggression, will target Hezbollah’s infrastructure and buildings.
The move comes after a particularly challenging month, with multiple fatalities reported in the northern sector, predominantly from suicide drones. Despite diplomatic pressure and a desire to avoid a broader conflict, the Israeli government feels a more robust response is necessary to ensure the security of its northern residents.
The IDF has developed a comprehensive fire plan that is awaiting final approval from the political echelon. This plan is expected to be implemented shortly, signaling a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border.
