Israel Threatens Escalation Over Gaza Launches
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz held a situational assessment this evening on the threat of drones, balloons, and kites being launched from Gaza toward Israel. The Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the head of the National Security Council, and senior IDF officials also attended.
Israel warned Hamas that if the launches do not stop immediately, the IDF will intensify strikes against those responsible and evacuate populations from areas where the kites, drones, and balloons are launched.
Netanyahu made clear that Israel will not return to the reality before October 7 and will not allow Hamas or any other entity in Gaza to again threaten Israeli communities or undermine residents’ sense of security.
