🚨 Israeli officials say the site struck by the Israeli Air Force in Beirut’s southern suburbs was a Hezbollah headquarters
The Israeli airstrike in Beirut’s southern suburbs was carried out with three missiles targeting two apartments in the Nizlet al-Mawqif area in the Dahiyeh.
Israeli Media – The strike was on a single Hezbollah command center. The security system still does not know if the command center was manned at the time of the strike, it may also have been empty. The strike was carried out for the sake of the strike – and not with the goal of eliminating a specific figure. Even if militants were injured in the command center – these are minor militants.
Israel informed the U.S. in advance before the strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, Saudi Al-Hadath reports.
Lebanese analyst Khalil Nasrallah, close to Hezbollah:
The Israeli strike in Dahiyeh is an attempt to solidify the equation drawn by Netanyahu and Katz. Hezbollah stated that it has not committed to anyone not to strike Israeli settlements in the north, and the Iranians also spoke of striking the north in response to an attack in Dahiyeh.
Regardless of the political timing and the situation in light of indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran, the likelihood of escalation appears closer. Hezbollah and Iran are seeking a response.
