🚨 Israeli Health Ministry issues urgent call for Type O blood donors
The Israeli Health Ministry issues a call for the public to donate blood, particularly those with Type O, the universal donor, amid a “significant decline” in the national blood supply.
“We need to strengthen blood inventories on an ongoing basis, and I call on the public to come and donate,” says Health Ministry director general Moshe Bar Siman-Tov. “Donating blood is a simple act that saves lives, and it is part of our mutual responsibility and solidarity, both in routine times and in emergencies.”
He calls on the public to seek out blood donation sites run by Magen David Adom at locations around the country.
