Israeli Ministry of Education Announces Nationwide School Closures for Sunday and Monday
Following the direct missile strikes in Arad and Dimona, and after consultations with the Home Front Command, Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch has announced that all in-person learning across the country is suspended for Sunday and Monday.
This directive cancels all previous exemptions, meaning that physical attendance is prohibited for all educational institutions, including special education programs.
During this period, the Israeli education system will transition entirely to remote learning only.
The Israeli Ministry of Education emphasizes that this closure is comprehensive and applies to every district without exception to ensure the safety of students and staff.
A new situational assessment will be conducted by Israeli officials toward Tuesday, at which point further updates will be provided regarding the remainder of the week.
