Ivanka Trump Reportedly Targeted in Alleged Iranian-Linked Assassination Plot
First Daughter of the United States Ivanka Trump was reportedly targeted for assassination by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to a Friday report by New York Post.
Sources cited by the paper said IRGC-trained terrorist Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi planned to attack the Trump family in retaliation for the US drone strike in Baghdad six years ago that killed Iranian military chief Qassem Soleimani.
Al-Saadi, a 32-year-old Iraqi national, was recently arrested in Turkey and extradited to the United States. Authorities said he pledged to kill Ivanka Trump and possessed a blueprint of her Florida home, according to the report.
He also allegedly posted a map on X showing the area where Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, live. The Arabic message reportedly read: “Neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you. We are currently in the stage of surveillance and analysis. Our revenge is a matter of time.”
Entifadh Qanbar, former deputy military attaché at the Iraqi embassy in Washington, told the NYP that after Soleimani’s death, Al-Saadi said, “We need to kill Ivanka to burn down the house of Trump the way he burned down our house.”
According to the Department of Justice, Al-Saadi faces charges tied to 18 attacks and attempted attacks across Europe and the US, including the firebombing of the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam, the stabbing of two Jewish individuals in London, a shooting at the US consulate in Toronto, a synagogue bombing in Liège, Belgium, and arson at a temple in Rotterdam.
Last month, suspected Iranian front group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia allegedly claimed it had nearly killed Ivanka Trump and threatened President Donald Trump and his family online.
