Kuwait Foils Terror Financing Plot Targeting National Security
Kuwait’s Interior Ministry announced on Saturday the successful disruption of a plot aimed at undermining national security through the financing of terrorist entities and groups.
State Security forces arrested 24 Kuwaiti citizens, including one whose citizenship had been revoked, who were found in possession of illicit funds linked to unlawful activities.
Authorities also identified and tracked eight fugitive citizens abroad, one of whom had his citizenship withdrawn. The suspects operated an organized network that collected money under religious pretexts, held the funds, and prepared to transfer them according to instructions from outside the country.
The operation underscores Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to safeguard stability and counter threats to public order.
No further details on the specific groups funded were released in the official statement.
