Austrian Media Reports Mossad Involvement in Search for Missing Israelis in Vienna
Austrian media outlets report that Israel’s intelligence agency, the Mossad, is participating alongside local authorities and Israel Police in efforts to locate Mali Yahalomi (50) and her daughter Liel (23), who disappeared in Vienna.
The mother and daughter have been missing since Friday, August 7, after failing to return from a trip and missing their scheduled return flight home.
The investigation was recently transferred to Israel Police’s Lahav 433 major crimes unit, and a Israeli court has placed a formal gag order on further investigative details.
While Austrian authorities initially noted no immediate signs of a violent crime, Israeli law enforcement and intelligence units are examining multiple leads—including potential national security scenarios, deliberate disappearance, and digital location footprints.
