Rep. Joe Morelle said that New York Democrats are considering two constitutional redistricting options in response to GOP-led map changes in states like Texas, confirming an earlier report from Politico.
“There are two different options being looked at. One would affect the 2028 and 2038 races, and then one potentially looking at the longer-term situation as it relates to the way they’ve been doing reapportionment and making some adjustments. So they are looking at more of a short-term and a longer-term way of making some adjustments that would bring us in line with what other states are doing.”
