President Herzog Addresses Lebanese Counterpart in Arabic: Denounce Hezbollah, I Extend My Hand in Peace
Israeli President Isaac Herzog issued a direct appeal in Arabic to the Lebanese government and its leadership, calling on them to firmly denounce Hezbollah and Iran, and choose a path of regional normalization.
“I extend my hand in peace to the President of Lebanon and the Lebanese people,” Herzog declared in the Arabic address.
He emphasized that the citizens of Lebanon are paying a heavy price for a conflict dictated by Iranian proxies, adding that it is the responsibility of the Lebanese leadership to secure their country’s freedom from the dictates of Hezbollah, Iran, and other terrorist organizations so that Lebanon can maintain its status as a sovereign and independent nation.
Herzog concluded by urging the Lebanese nation not to fear taking a stand, asserting that breaking free from external destructive influences is the key to safeguarding the country’s future and restoring stability to the region.
