Dozens protest at Australian parliament against Israel’s treatment of Gaza flotilla activists
Dozens of protesters were removed from the parliament building in Canberra as they protested against Israel’s treatment of detained activists from the Gaza flotilla, Australian outlets report.
The protesters knelt on the ground with their hands tied behind their backs in a simulation of the images seen in a video posted by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, in which the far-right lawmaker can be seen taunting the detainees.
Protesters reportedly included three Australian citizens who joined the flotilla and were detained by Israel.
