BD”E: CBN is sad to report the petirah of Rebbetzin Miriam Twersky A”H, the Rachmistrivka Rebbetzin, the wife of the Rachmistrivka Rebbe, Harav Chai Yitzchok Twerski ZT”L, and mother of the current Rachmistrivka Rebbes. Rebbetzin Twersky A”H was 93 years old.
The Rebbetzin was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital on Sunday after her condition became critical. Early Monday morning, as her health rapidly deteriorated, relatives were summoned to her bedside. She was niftar shortly thereafter.
A daughter of the previous Skverer Rebbe, Harav Yaakov Yosef Twersky ZT”L, Rebbetzin Miriam A”H was a central figure in one of the foremost chassidic families.
Throughout the many years of her husband’s leadership, she stood beside the Rachmistrivka Rebbe ZT”L, who was niftar in 2023.
The levayah is currently scheduled for today (Monday) at 1:30 p.m. at the Rachmistrivka Beis Medrash in Boro Park. It’s then scheduled to move to New Square for a stop at 4:00 p.m., before continuing to the Rachmistrivka Beis Hamedrish on Hopal Lane in Monsey at 4:45 p.m. The Kevurah is set to take place afterward at the Rachmistrivka chelka in Har Shalom Beis HaChaim in Airmont.
