Senate fails to advance DHS funding for 7th time
The Senate failed to advance the DHS funding bill for a seventh time in a 53 to 47 vote.
Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the sole Democrat to vote in favor of moving forward with the measure. Senate Majority Leader Thune changed his vote from yes to no, giving himself the option of bringing up the motion again.
The DHS shutdown has lasted over a month so far.
