State Department Officially Terminates Legal Status of Daughter of Late Iranian Official Ali Larijani
The U.S. Department of State announced that the legal status of Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani, the daughter of the late senior Iranian official Ali Larijani, and her husband, Seyed Kalantar Motamedi, has been officially terminated.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that both Ardeshir-Larijani and Motamedi are no longer in the United States and are barred from future entry.
The announcement emphasized that the Trump administration will not allow the U.S. to serve as a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.
This action follows Ardeshir-Larijani’s dismissal from her role as an assistant professor at Emory University earlier this year.
The State Department stated that these measures are part of a broader coordination with the Department of Homeland Security and ICE to rescind the legal status of individuals connected to the Iranian government.
