Fox News’ Jen Griffin reports on the United States’ strikes on Iran happening now, as well as what led to them.
Multiple explosions have been reported across Iran, including Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Sirik, Bushehr, Asaluyeh, Isfahan, Minab, and more.
Bandar Abbas International Airport has reportedly been struck, as well as a petrochemical plant in the South Pars gas field, located in Asaluyeh.
The United States reportedly intends to strike hundreds of targets in several waves over the next few hours.
The targets that were attacked are reportedly in southern Iran and include air defense systems, radars and drone command and control units.
Reports, including from Ynet, say that a US destroyer has been hit by an Iranian missile, and the missile was allegedly hypersonic.
Clashes between the United States and the IRGC Navy in the Strait of Hormuz have been reported.
Israel has denied being involved in the attacks.
🚨 The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has also threatened that it will soon send missiles and drones towards central Israel.
The IRGC also said that it targeted an American F-16 fighter jet and launched surface to air missiles towards it, causing it to retreat and flee the airspace.
The New York Times reports that hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough faded after a Qatari mediation team left Tehran on Wednesday without making progress in the talks.
According to Iranian news agency IRIB and their Iraqi sources, the American Al-Harir base in Erbil, northern Iraq, was targeted by an Iranian missile. The Iraqi outlet Al-Ma’uluma also reported that Iran destroyed an American radar in Erbil.
