UAE Reaffirms $1.4 Trillion U.S. Investment Pact Amid Iranian Threats
In a major blow to Tehran’s efforts to isolate Washington from its Gulf allies, the United Arab Emirates has officially reaffirmed its commitment to a massive $1.4 trillion investment framework with the United States.
Despite nearly three weeks of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Emirati infrastructure, Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba confirmed that the ten-year economic pact remains not only on track but is set for “accelerated deployment.”
The framework, originally established during meetings with the Trump administration in 2025, focuses on critical sectors including AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and energy.
By doubling down on this partnership, Abu Dhabi is signaling that Iranian aggression has failed to create the intended diplomatic wedge.
On the contrary, senior Emirati officials, including diplomatic adviser Dr. Anwar Gargash, have noted that Iran’s “unhinged” attacks are pushing the region into an even tighter security and economic embrace with the U.S.
