UK Lifts Travel Advisory for Most of Israel

The British government has lifted its travel advisory against visiting Israel, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) announced Wednesday. The advisory remains in place for Israel’s northern border and parts of Judea and Samaria.

The FCDO issued the advisory after the war with Iran broke out in late February, when Iran launched numerous ballistic missile attacks on Israel.

According to the FCDO, Iranian strikes on civilian infrastructure across the region, including ports, hotels, roads, bridges, energy facilities, oil production sites, water systems, and airports, have decreased. However, it warned that the risk of renewed strikes remains and further attacks could occur with little notice.

The advisory for Israel’s northern border remains in effect as the Hezbollah terrorist organization continues attacking northern Israel.
