United Airlines unveils new premium seats that can transform into a couch

United Airlines has unveiled new cabin designs with premium seating that will give passengers more space to stretch out on long-haul flights.

The airline announced that “United Relax Row” will have new custom-designed seats with adjustable leg rests that can be raised or lowered to create a lie-flat space similar to a couch.

Starting in 2027, United will bring its “Relax Row” to Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft. By 2030, the airline plans to have the Relax Row on over 200 aircraft across the fleet. United is the first North American airline to offer this product and says it will have exclusivity on the design within North America.

Customers who travel in United Relax Row will also receive additional amenities, like a custom-fitted mattress pad, a plush blanket, two extra pillows, as well as a plush toy and Children’s Travel kid for families.
