US Energy Secretary Reports Surge in Oil Exports from Strait of Hormuz

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Tuesday that the seven-day average for oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz has risen to nearly 9 million barrels per day.

Wright said total regional oil flows were averaging about 15 million barrels per day when pipeline and export-facility shipments were included, adding that more than 20 million barrels left the Persian Gulf region on Sunday, above the pre-conflict average.
