Karim Sadjadpour labeled the new US-Iran agreement a “memorandum of misunderstanding.”
The agreement is a non-public draft memorandum of understanding signed to end recent US-Iran conflict, with provisions on sanctions relief, unfreezing assets, and ensuring open Strait of Hormuz access.
Sadjadpour, a Carnegie Endowment senior fellow, expresses skepticism in the interview over the deal’s vagueness and limited details on critical issues like nuclear capabilities and long-term enforcement.
