US Proposes Demands to Iran Amidst Failed Peace Talks

Fox News, citing two U.S. officials, reported that Vice President JD Vance’s final proposal to the Iranian delegation in Islamabad last night, before the Pakistan-mediated peace talks between the two countries collapsed, included the following demands:

1. End all uranium enrichment
2. Dismantle all major nuclear enrichment facilities
3. Retrieve highly enriched uranium
4. Accept a broader peace, security and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies
5. End funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis
6. ⁠Fully open the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage
