Viral Video of Iran’s Supreme Leader in Ops Room Deemed AI-Generated
A video circulating on social media claims to show Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s new Supreme Leader, entering a military operations room where a large screen displays satellite imagery of Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility, complete with coordinates 31.0013°N 35.1445°E and the label Negev Nuclear Research Center.
The 18-second clip features cinematic effects, heavy blurring on background figures, haze overlays, glitch transitions, and overlaid Persian-Hebrew text.
These elements, along with the absence of any official Iranian state media confirmation, point to artificial intelligence generation rather than authentic footage.
The video emerged amid heightened tensions and a surge in AI-produced propaganda related to the war. Multiple analysts and users quickly identified it as synthetic content, consistent with a broader pattern of fabricated visuals in the conflict.
