The Shabbat 250 initiative was introduced as part of President Trump’s proclamation for Jewish American Heritage Month, inviting Jewish Americans across the country to observe a national shabbos ahead of the United States’ 250th anniversary, marking the first time a sitting U.S. president has formally encouraged nationwide shabbos observance.
