Closely Watched Wisconsin Gov. Primary Results Delayed Due To Server Issue
Winnebago County, Wisconsin, is experiencing a server issue that is delaying the posting of primary election results online, County Executive Gordon Hintz said in a Facebook post Tuesday night, as a closely watched, neck and neck race between an antisemitic Democratic socialist and a mainstream Democrat vie for the state’s Democratic gubernatorial nomination.
Hintz said totals are being entered as each of the county’s 21 municipalities physically delivers them to the County Clerk’s office, which may slow the pace of updates. He stressed there were no issues at polling locations or with the counting of ballots, and that voting and tabulation are proceeding as normal.
Rep. Tom Tiffany has won the Republican primary for governor. As of 10:30 p.m., the Democratic nominee for governor — a close race between antisemitic socialist state Rep. Francesca Hong and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley — had yet to be decided.
