Cause of death revealed in tragic case of frum Long Island teacher and mother of 4 who died after driving SUV into pool💔
A frum Long Island teacher and mother of four who was killed when her SUV plunged into a backyard pool appears to have suffered a medical episode before the crash, sources close to the investigation told The New York Post on Sunday.
Allison Rahmani, 40, was niftar Friday after losing control of her vehicle and driving into the pool at her family’s Hewlett home. Police said she called 911 from the vehicle but could not be saved and was niftar on the way to the hospital.
Sources said police believe a medical emergency caused the crash and do not suspect foul play, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Rahmani was remembered Sunday morning at her levayah at Boulevard-Riverside Chapels in Hewlett, the same day she had been scheduled to leave for a Paris getaway with her husband, Matthew Rahmani, president of Irving Place Minyan Modern Orthodox Synagogue in Woodmere.
Allison, who recently turned 40, was math coordinator at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway.
Her husband recited Eishes Chayil at the levayah. “I’m sorry I didn’t say that at her wedding. I can’t imagine more fitting words for the woman you were,” Matthew said.
“We are broken,” her mother, Rachelle Rohde, said. “We will never be the same.”
