$20,000 Ring Recovered From Underground Dumpster In Yerushalayim
At 11:50 PM, the Chaverim Jerusalem hotline received an urgent call from a community member in Mekor Baruch who had accidentally thrown a valuable ring into an underground garbage dumpster.
The situation was especially challenging due to the dumpster’s underground safety-floor system, which makes access extremely difficult once garbage is deposited.
After the Jerusalem Municipality advised that assistance wasn’t available, Chaverim JLM volunteers quickly responded to the scene.
Working safely, with determination and innovation, volunteers retrieved the garbage bag from inside the underground dumpster and carefully searched through the contents piece by piece.
After an extensive search, the ring was located and safely returned to its grateful owner.
