Golani Reconnaissance Brigade Concludes 50-Day Operation Near Beaufort Castle
After leading efforts to establish operational control in the Beaufort area, troops of the Golani Reconnaissance Brigade are concluding nearly 50 consecutive days of operational activity in southern Lebanon and stepping back for a unit refresh.
Operating in a major former Hezbollah stronghold, the forces dismantled more than 300 terror infrastructure sites alongside locating and destroying weapons caches and storage facilities used by the group.
The operational push was focused on neutralizing Hezbollah’s local capabilities and firming up Israeli control over the strategic sector.
Following their temporary leave, the soldiers will maintain operational readiness for upcoming missions.
