Hamas Warns Terrorists to Get Rid of Cellphones Amid Gaza Strikes
Hamas’ internal security apparatus warned the group’s operatives today against using mobile phones and called on them to get rid of their devices amid continued targeted killings by the IDF in the Gaza Strip.
“Your mobile phone allows the enemy to locate you, listen to your calls and photograph your surroundings. Get rid of the mobile phone immediately to protect yourself and your brothers,” read a directive published on the “Al-Haris” channel, which is affiliated with the terrorist organization.
Hamas called on its terrorists to “increase awareness and vigilance” and avoid behavior that could make them targets for attack. Among other things, they were instructed to avoid using social media and take security precautions so as to “not give Israel an opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Hamas announced over the weekend that several Gaza residents had been sentenced to death after being accused of collaborating with Israel. The statement said: “The path of betrayal begins with one step and ends in shame.”
Earlier today, Palestinian media reported strikes in the central camps of the Gaza Strip. According to the reports, at least two people were killed and eight wounded at the sites.
Munir al-Bursh, director general of Hamas’ Health Ministry in Gaza, claimed that Israel is “continuing to escalate attacks on Gaza and violate the ceasefire agreement.”
