Hegseth Dismisses Claims of Israeli Influence on Trump’s Iran Strategy
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has rejected allegations from former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent, who recently resigned in protest of the war.
Kent claimed that the administration’s strategy was being dictated by Israel, but Hegseth clarified that President Trump is the sole architect of American interests.
Hegseth emphasized that he attends every key meeting for Operation Epic Fury and that no policy is being “foisted” on the President. While the U.S. values its partnership with Israel, the Secretary made it clear that the strategy remains entirely independent.
As Hegseth noted, those people who are not in those meetings who like to say things about that are just flat wrong.
