Home Front Command Updates Civil Defense Policy: Partial Restrictions in Northern Israel, Full Activity Restored Elsewhere
The Israel Defense Forces Home Front Command announced an update to its civil defense guidelines following an ongoing situation assessment.
Until Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 06:00, the current protection policy will remain unchanged.
From 06:00 on June 9 until Wednesday, June 10 at 20:00, the guidelines will be updated subject to further assessment.
In the “frontline zone” and several northern communities, including Sasa, Meron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesod HaMa’ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann, and Sde Eliezer, activity will be limited to a “partial operation” level.
Educational activities and workplaces will be permitted only in buildings or locations with immediate access to a standard protected space, and gatherings will be limited to up to 100 people outdoors and 400 indoors.
The rest of the country will move to a “full activity” level with no restrictions.
Authorities stressed that residents must continue following official instructions and stay updated through Home Front Command channels.
