In one of the most dramatic nights in Madison Square Garden history, the New York Knicks erased a 29-point deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Wednesday.
Anunoby’s tip-in of a missed Jalen Brunson three-pointer with 1.2 seconds left capped the largest comeback in NBA Finals history, giving New York a 3-1 series lead.
The Spurs dominated early, building a 76-49 halftime lead behind a Finals-record 14 first-half threes. Victor Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, and De’Aaron Fox led the charge as San Antonio pushed the advantage to 29 points in the third quarter.
But the Knicks rallied with ferocious defense and timely offense. They held the Spurs to just 30 second-half points, mounted a massive 20-4 run in the fourth, and took their first lead on a Brunson floater. Anunoby then delivered the game-winner after Brunson’s potential winner rimmed out.
