Turkey Urges Gulf States to Exercise Restraint and Avoid Direct War with Iran
Turkey has launched an intensive diplomatic outreach campaign to press Gulf Arab states, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, to remain on the sidelines of the ongoing conflict with Iran.
According to reports from Bloomberg, Ankara is actively counseling these nations against joining the military campaign, seeking to prevent a broader regional escalation.
While Gulf leadership has expressed increasing anger over Iranian strikes targeting their ports, airports, and energy infrastructure, they remain hesitant to enter the war directly.
Current assessments suggest these states are unlikely to commit to a full military intervention unless the Iranian regime strikes critical civilian infrastructure, such as power plants or water desalination facilities.
