Lakewood – ANCHOR Filing Event Coming to Lakewood Area
Residents in and around Lakewood can learn more about applying for New Jersey’s ANCHOR property tax relief program this Sunday, August 23. The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Westwood office complex, located at 1001 Route 70 near the Lakewood-Toms River border.
The program provides eligible New Jersey homeowners and renters with several hundred dollars in property tax relief each year. Attendees will be able to learn about eligibility and other program requirements in English or Yiddish. Representatives from the New Jersey Department of the Treasury will also be available to answer questions and assist with applications.
The event is being organized by C.A.R.E.S., which has hosted ANCHOR assistance events since 2024, with Lakewood Township and local businesses and organizations serving as co-sponsors. Organizers said C.A.R.E.S.’ last Lakewood event attracted more attendees than any other ANCHOR event in New Jersey outside Newark.
