Charedi Residents Block Military Police from Arresting Draft Refuser in Achisamach
Police officers responding to a noise complaint in the Achisamach neighborhood of Lod around 5:00 a.m. discovered that one of the individuals involved was listed as a military draft refuser, prompting them to call Military Police for an arrest.
Following the discovery, an urgent alert was broadcast over the “Tzeva Shachor” hotline used to notify the public of draft-related arrests in the Charedi community.

The notification drew dozens of residents to the scene, who successfully blocked officers from carrying out the arrest.
Once the situation defused and the individual was released, the crowd gathered in the streets to dance and celebrate the outcome.
