Yom Tov is coming, times are tight, and unfortunately it seems the text spammers are now selling their lists to individuals. I’m sure these buyers of lists are not being properly vetted, and we need to be extremely careful where our tzedaka dollars are going.
ONLY GIVE MONEY TO FAMILY MEMBERS YOU PERSONALLY KNOW ARE STRUGGLING.
Then, if you still have tzedaka money left, give to your children’s Rebbeim, Melamdim, Yungeleit, etc. And if you still have money to give, give it to someone you know and trust to distribute it to families who are genuinely struggling.
We cannot afford to have our precious tzedaka money scammed away from us. Every dollar needs to get to the people who actually need it. 💪
Give smart. Give local. Give where you know it’s needed.
