IDF Eliminates Lebanese Resistance Brigades Commander and 8 Terrorists in Sidon Strike
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the elimination of Maher Qassem Hamdan, the commander of the “Lebanese Resistance Brigades” (Saraya al-Lubnan) in the Chebaa area.
Hamdan was targeted alongside eight additional operatives while they were attempting to flee the Chebaa region toward Sidon in southern Lebanon.
According to military intelligence, Hamdan was a key figure responsible for the recruitment of terrorists, the procurement of weapons, and the direct funding of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades in the Chebaa region.
The organization is a known proxy of Hezbollah, receiving direct funding and operational guidance from the terror group to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel.
